Good questions
How do I pay? +
By card on Miyav. When you send a request the amount is only held on your card; you are charged when the sitter accepts. If they decline or don't answer within 24 hours, the hold is released. The sitter is paid 48 hours after the service.
How are sitters checked? +
Every sitter confirms their phone, sends ID card photos and a selfie, passes a safety quiz and is approved by our team before appearing in search. Reviews come only from owners with paid, completed bookings.
Can I meet the sitter first? +
Yes. Send a request with a message and use the chat to arrange a short meet-and-greet before the booking date.
What if I need to cancel? +
Cancel from the booking page. The refund follows the sitter's cancellation policy (Flexible, Moderate or Strict), shown before you book. If the sitter cancels, you get everything back plus Miyav credit.
Do you only take dogs? +
Mostly dogs, but many sitters also take cats and other small pets — use the "Pet type" filter in search.
